Prof. Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan joined Presidency University as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the beginning of 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). With extensive academic and research experience, Dr. Khan has been a driving force in the development of computer science education and research in Bangladesh.
His research interests include Medical Informatics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security and Software Engineering. He has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and is widely recognized for his contributions to technology and education. Notably, he was ranked among the top 5% scientists worldwide.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), February 2020. CGPA 3.67 (1st Class) on a scale of 4. At BUET in post-graduation programs, 90% Mark is equivalent to GPA 4.
