I joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Presidency University as a Lecturer in October 2024. Since then, my primary focus has been to create a learning environment where students can grasp fundamental concepts thoroughly while understanding the real-world relevance of each topic. I firmly believe that true learning begins at the basics, and that every topic, no matter how simple or complex, carries its own importance in shaping a student’s academic and professional growth. With this in mind, I design my lectures to be both structured and interactive, encouraging active participation from students. My teaching style emphasizes back-and-forth discussions, where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and even challenging ideas—fostering a classroom culture rooted in curiosity and mutual respect.
One of my key priorities in the classroom is to nurture the critical thinking abilities of students. I constantly engage them in analytical discussions and problem-solving tasks that push them to think beyond textbook definitions. I make a conscious effort to involve each student in class activities, ensuring that no one feels left behind and everyone gets a chance to contribute. This inclusive approach not only helps students stay attentive and motivated but also strengthens their confidence in expressing ideas and tackling complex problems.
In addition to regular coursework, I have had the opportunity to work closely with students in lab sessions and on various course-related projects. These hands-on activities provide an excellent platform to dive deeper into technical topics and explore innovative applications. Collaborating with students on such projects has allowed me to guide them through more intricate challenges, enabling them to apply their knowledge in practical contexts. This experience not only reinforces their understanding of the subject matter but also equips them with problem-solving skills, teamwork, and resilience—traits that are essential for succeeding in a competitive and ever-changing tech industry. Through these efforts, I aim to contribute meaningfully to the department’s mission of producing competent, confident, and forward-thinking graduates.
