Md. Anisur Rahman is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of English and as the Proctor of Presidency University, Dhaka. With more than a decade of experience in higher education, he has previously held key academic and administrative positions including Head of the Department of English at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology and Presidency University.
His academic expertise encompasses Applied Linguistics, English Language Teaching (ELT), Curriculum Design, and Educational Policy in the context of South Asia. He has published extensively on learner error analysis, blended learning, ESP in Bangladesh, and the integration of classical and South Asian literary frameworks. His research contributions are featured in several national and international peer-reviewed journals.
In his capacity as Proctor, Mr. Rahman is responsible for ensuring discipline, student welfare, and campus safety, while promoting a positive and inclusive academic environment. He is also actively involved in academic quality assurance, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and institutional development through training, journal publication, assessment reform, and strategic planning.

Anisur Rahman’s research interests encompass English language pedagogy, writing proficiency, and methodological innovation in language instruction, with a particular focus on the Bangladeshi context. His work addresses critical issues such as student writing errors, the efficacy of online and blended learning environments, and the pedagogical integration of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) with the Grammar Translation Method (GTM). Additionally, his research extends into English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and explores interdisciplinary literary studies
