General Information

Ms. Shahreen Sonia is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at School of Business & Economics of Presidency University, Bangladesh. She has an experience of over twelve years in teaching at university level. Before joining her present workplace, she worked at Green University of Bangladesh as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer consecutively. Prior to starting her career as a faculty member, she completed her graduation and post-graduation from the University of Dhaka, where in both programs her major subject was Accounting & Information Systems.

She has diverse research interests and has research works on various issues. She is a Peer Reviewer of Asian Journal of Education and Social Studies, Asian Food Science Journal and others. She also worked at the HEQEP Project financed by the World Bank. Besides these, she also works in electronic media, and is a regular News Caster (English) of Bangladesh Betar (state-owned radio station of Bangladesh). She is also a freelance writer whose write-ups have been published in prominent dailies of Bangladesh.
