General Information

Mr. Imtiaz Ibne Azad is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Presidency University, Bangladesh. He joined the University in July 2022 and has contributed to teaching, student research supervision, academic advising, co-curricular activities, and departmental administration. In addition to his faculty role, he has served as Thesis Coordinator, Advisor to the Presidency University Civil Engineering Club, and Assistant Proctor. He earned both his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from BUET, with specialization in Transportation Engineering. His master's thesis, titled "Modeling Service Quality Factors of a Unique Water Taxi Service at Hatirjheel in Dhaka," examined passenger perceptions and service-quality determinants using advanced statistical and data-driven methods. His undergraduate thesis explored online shopping behavior and its implications for travel activity in Dhaka. Mr. Azad is on study leave to pursue a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a transportation focus at the School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science (CEES), University of Oklahoma, USA, working in the Transportation, Risk, and Information Commons (TRICS) Lab under the supervision of Dr. Arif Mohaimin Sadri. His doctoral research focuses on transportation resilience and disaster evacuation, with particular interest in data-driven, network-based, and behaviorally informed approaches for improving transportation-system performance during disruptive events.
