A T M Mohibullah is an academic and industry-oriented professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Apparel Merchandising & Management (AMM) Department at Presidency University, Bangladesh. He has extensive teaching and professional experience in apparel manufacturing, merchandising, production and operation management, with prior roles at leading fashion and technology institutions. Alongside academia, he actively works as a trainer and consultant in merchandising, production planning, quality management, and apparel operations, effectively integrating industry practices with academic instruction.

An active researcher and contributor to the textile and apparel field, Mohibullah has authored numerous journal articles, conference papers, and a book chapter. His research focuses on apparel manufacturing processes, cost optimization, sustainability, microplastic impact, and smart textiles. He has participated in international conferences and professional training programs, enhancing his expertise in sustainable textile value chains and curriculum development. Mohibullah has presented his findings at numerous international conferences, including International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA), BCSIR Congress, Bangladesh Chemical Society (BCS) and IEEE events, contributing to advancements in apparel and environmental sustainability.

Beyond academia, he is actively engaged in leadership and cultural pursuits, demonstrating a strong presence in film, theatre, and creative writing. He is involved in film direction and theatre activities, contributing as an actor, director, and creative professional. In addition to his artistic work, he is also a published writer, with works including novels, poems, and newspaper columns. His participation in various professional and cultural organizations reflects a multidisciplinary commitment to creativity, communication, and social engagement.

Mohibullah’s research interests focus on apparel manufacturing and merchandising with an emphasis on production and process optimization, apparel supply chain management, and apparel business systems. His work also covers pattern cutting and design, apparel sizing systems, and garments construction, with a particular focus on improving industrial efficiency, accuracy, and product quality. In addition, he is engaged in apparel manufacturing management and sustainability issues within the apparel value chain. His research further explores cost optimization, environmental concerns such as microplastic impact, and emerging innovations in smart textiles. Through these areas, he aims to contribute to more efficient, sustainable, and innovation-driven apparel production and management systems.
