Nazia Akthar Rashmi is an Assistant Professor at the School of Business, Presidency University, with a specialized focus in Human Resource Management. She holds both an MBA in Human Resource Management and a BBA in Management Studies from the University of Dhaka. She is known as a dynamic and dedicated academic professional with a robust foundation in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Business Communication.
Blending academic insight with real-world industry experience, she brings a unique and practical perspective to the classroom. Her professional journey includes significant roles in both local and multinational corporations. As an HR Business Partner at RFL Group, she led initiatives in leadership development, employee engagement, and the design of strategic HR practices. Earlier in her career, she served at Chevron Bangladesh as a Supply Chain Executive under its Major Capital Projects division, where she gained valuable experience managing global procurement processes and collaborating with a diverse, multicultural supplier network.
At Presidency University, Ms. Nazia is deeply committed to student development through teaching, mentorship, and academic supervision. Her scholarly work is published in Scopus-indexed journals and by international academic publishers such as Springer and JFP Publishers.
In addition to her academic contributions, she is actively engaged in co-curricular development. She is the founding advisor of BizBox, the official business club of Presidency University, and has previously served as co-moderator of the Presidency University Cultural Club. Currently, she also holds the position of Assistant Proctor, contributing to the overall student discipline and administrative support of the university.
