𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚-𝐍𝐚𝐳𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥

Students from the Department of English showcased outstanding talent and secured multiple awards at the Rabindra-Nazrul Anniversary Festival, a cultural competition held on 24th May 2025 at Presidency University, organized by the PU Cultural Club.

Award-Winning Performances by English Department Students: Lipika Dhor(Batch 252), Saldo (Batch 251), Antony Ritchil (Batch 251), Shafin (Batch 251), Choiti (Batch 232), Efti (Batch 242), Irin & Prina (Batch 221).

The Department of English remains committed to cultivating not only academic excellence but also artistic and cultural expression. The students’ achievements at this festival reflect their creative versatility and deep engagement with literary and musical heritage.

The festival was inaugurated with an inspiring speech by the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, and was further dignified by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir (Principal Adviser of Presidency University), Registrar Md. Sakir Hossain, along with deans, faculty members, and students from various departments.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees and participants for making this cultural celebration a resounding success and a tribute to two of Bengal’s greatest literary icons.
