𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

On Thursday, 14 August 2025, the Department of English at Presidency University organized a delightful Cultural Program and Semester Day. The vibrant event showcased the students’ creativity and talent through colorful performances including dance, music, and drama.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Presidency University; Professor Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir, Principal Advisor; Md. Sakir Hossain, Registrar; Nazla Fatmi, Head of the Department of English; Mohammad Zahedur Rahman, Controller of Examinations; Md. Anisur Rahman, Proctor; along with the faculty members and students of the Department of English.

Under the leadership of the Head of the Department, Nazla Fatmi, and with the cooperation of skilled and creative faculties, the Department of English at Presidency University has been contributing not only to academic excellence but also to the aesthetic and cultural development of its students. Alongside enhancing linguistic proficiency, critical thinking, and an appreciation of literature and culture, the department strives to shape its students into responsible citizens and multidimensional individuals.

The faculties of the English Department firmly believe that education is not confined to books alone; rather, through the practice of art, literature, and culture, a student nurtures character, taste, and social responsibility. The celebration of Semester Day was part of this ongoing endeavor, where learning was beautifully intertwined with joy, inspiration, and creativity.
