The Department of English proudly emerged as the winner of Pohela Boishakh Festival by achieving first position in this cultural event which was held on Wednesday, 15 April 2026. The Department of English is committed to nurturing students’ cultural pride & sensitivity and celebrating a victory at the Pohela Boishakh Festival is a testament to that commitment. Cultural events like these enable our students to appreciate multicultural point of views in their classroom as well.

The Department of English would like to congratulate the students who made this victory possible through hard work and dedication. Heartfelt thanks goes to the Head of the Department and moderator of PU Cultural Club, Nazla Fatmi, for her constant guidance.
