Md. Tanvir Habib is serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Dhaka. He previously served as Lecturer in the same department and earlier at the Bangladesh University of Professionals.

His academic and research engagement includes international relations, security studies, maritime strategy, migration, defence cooperation, and regional dynamics in South Asia. He has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and other academic and policy publications.
