Transcript Details
The University uses a letter grading system for individual courses but reports a grade point average on a scale of 0.0 – 4.0 for each semester, and also a cumulative grade point average for all preceding semesters in students’ grade reports and transcripts.

With implemented new grading policy from Summer 2014 semester, CGPA is calculated incorporating both total grade points earned up to Spring 2014 semester following previous Grading Policy and total grade points earned from Summer 2014 semester onward following new grading policy.
Minimum CGPA required for award of degree: 2.25
Grades Not Used in CGPA Calculation
- I (Incomplete): An “I” grade is given when a student fails to complete the semester requirement.
- W (Withdrawn): A “W” grade is given when a student withdraws from a course.
- R (Retaken or Replaced): An “R” grade indicates that the course has been retaken or replaced by equivalent course.
- Asterisk (*): Any grade with Asterisk (*) mark is not included in CGPA calculation.
Courses waived or credits transferred from other institutes are shown on the transcript but excluded from CGPA calculation. Only credits earned in Presidency University are included in CGPA calculation.
Non-Degree Students: A Non-Degree Student is a student who wishes to take course/s at this university but does not pursue a degree.
Medium of Instruction: English is the officially approved medium of instruction at Presidency University.
Authenticity
- Official transcripts are printed on security paper with an embossed seal of Presidency University, and a system generated serial number is printed at the top left corner on the front page.
- An official transcript is not released to any third party without written consent of the student.
